How to Clean Laminate & Vinyl Flooring
Its important to care for your laminate and vinyl flooring even though you might have chosen this flooring because it requires less care than natural hardwood would. Make sure to always reference your Laminate & Vinyl Warranty & Maintenance Guide and your product warranty documents to know what is covered for your flooring and when your warranty expires.
Start with a thorough sweeping or vacuuming to pick up the dirt and grit. If using a vacuum be sure to not use a beater brush- it can damage the floor’s surface. After sweeping or vacuuming next is mopping. Be sure to use a suitable resilient floor cleaner and refer to your manufacturing warranty brochure for approved cleaning products (avoid dishwashing liquids and oil-based cleaners, these products may leave a residue that can attract dirt).

How to Clean Hardwood Floors
With the proper care and maintenance, hardwood flooring can last for decades. For a deep spring cleaning start by doing a solid sweep to pick up dirt and particle buildup. Be sure to get under your rugs and any furniture. Although you think mopping comes with spring cleaning, you'll want to steer away from it unless you have any spills or areas needing spot cleaning. Any moisture will expand your flooring and create warping overtime. Instead- spot clean whenever spills occur with a microfiber towel and recommended sprays by your manufacturer warranty.
