No, NEOStone Composite is not the same as a natural stone shower base. Composite is an engineered material that combines mineral compounds with polyester resins. NEOStone Composite shower bases are non-porous, which makes them durable and easy to clean. Its textured finish provides slip resistance while maintaining a refined appearance.
The Subfloor can be either Concrete or Plywood but most importantly, when installing a shower base, you need to make sure your subfloor foundation is level. If it is not flat and level, you’ll need to apply a self-leveling compound.
